The Position
The Marketing Manager, Regional & CBP acts as the strategic lead for regional specific marketing planning and implementation including Grand Openings & competitor blunting activities for all markets outside Quebec.
Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Merchandise Marketing, you will be responsible for:
Developing the annual, season-specific and monthly marketing plans for regional markets leveraging consumer insights, sound marketing strategies and business metrics
Leading marketing and cross functional partners in the implementation of regional specific plans
Acting as marketing lead for all competitive blunting battle plans
Building and leading implementation of market specific grand opening strategies
Ensuring the smooth delivery and measurement of each component of the marketing plan through the management and leadership of the functional advertising, merchandising, finance & operations teams through:
Clear communication of strategic business goals & objectives
Delivery of marketing brief(s) for specific programs & strategies
Guidance and leadership of functional teams through marketing build process
Reviewing relevant marketing opportunities from external clients, evaluating and providing recommendations
Ensuring strategies and marketing programs adhere to upfront plans and track to budget allocations
Leading additional projects for marketing team as required
Travelling as required to support Regional activities
Meeting reasonable deadlines, quotas and requirements for accuracy
Working within a dynamic environment and balancing multiple priorities
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of delivering results and executing with excellence with a Retail organization. Specifically they will have:
5 years of relevant work experience: with 2+ years working with a major retailer as a Marketing Manager
Strong Marketing acumen with experience building brands with an “ROI” focus
Multi-tasking and organization skills
Flexibility and ability to be objective no matter the task
Teamwork, strong positive attitude and ability to quickly build strong relationships
Strong communication skills and networking abilities
Strong creative thinking and analytical skills
Ability to challenge and negotiate with partners where required while maintaining positive relationships
B Comm., MBA preferred
Compensation
Base depends upon the level of experience and is competitive
Bonus (note: pro-rated on start date based on company fiscal)
